Once the world’s largest residential development, Shapstown will always be a historic Houston monument. Going back to its roots and why the master planned community was developed in the first place, it’s a great location in terms of closeness to Hwy 59 and Beltway 8. Location and rising development are two things this area has going for it.
High crime rates. It’s no secret that Sharpstown has a long history with crime. Ever since the Shapstown Scandal in the early 1970’s that caused over-development, Shapstown apartments have struggled with keeping crime out of the area. Unfortunately, Sharpstown has become synonymous with the word “crime” as have many other areas of Southwest Houston.
7 Riverway Dr
Possibily the nicest place in the entire city of Houston. Ultra high end luxury in an amazing location. Expect to pay a pretty penny.
1200 Post Oak
This high rise is a monument of the Houston Galleria and if you are a fan of high rise living look no further. Expensive, but luxurious as hell.
2400 Yorktown
Disclaimer: no washer/dryer hookups, but they do have laundry facilities on-site. The buildings are kept up very well for this older property. Historically, this property has always had excellent management.
3000 Greenridge
It’s not for everyone, but if you are on a budget and need something decent and affordable with a good property management team this is it.
5740 San Felipe Street
In the heart of The Galleria and more affordable than the high rises and lofts that surround the area.
